ALLOCATION OF DUTIES Wellington, This Day. | In connection with the reorganisation j of the Supply Council announced yesterday the Minister of Supply (Mr i Sullivan) has stated that Mr G. H. Jackson will continue as Director of Production and will supervise and direct the activities of the factory, munitions, shipbuilding, radio, salvage, electricity, timber, building and mining controllers. Mr Picot will supervise and direct the activities of the food, medical supplies, oil and fuel rationing, and shipping controllers, and also undertake the direction of the planning of our overseas requirements, the placing of requests under lease-lend and the distribution of these imported supplies, j Mr Schmitt will be responsible for the I supervision and direction of wheat and flour control. New Zealand flax production. tobacco growing, bureau of industry. the Standards Institute and the Price Tribunal. After referring to the interlocking j between agriculture, marketing and primary production for war purposes with the activities of his own depart- * ment, Mr Sullivan said the appointment of Mr Fawcett to the Supply Council would facilitate co-ordination, and the presence of Mr Barclay at the council meetings would further assist to that end.—P.A.
