RECONSIDERATION BY WAR CABINET LATEST CALL-UP CONCERNED Wellington, Dec. 22. The Minister of National Service. Mr McLagan, stated to-day that while men of the 41 to 45 age group are now being called up for military service, nevertheless, the whole question of proper utilisation of manpower in New Zealand is to be reconsidered by the war Cabinet early in the New Year. Therefore no man called up to-day should take any action or leave his present employment until further notice. It has been decided that medical examination of this group will not commence until Ist February next and by that time the question of posting of the men concerned to the aimed forces will be considered in the light of a survey of general manpower requirements of the Dominion. —P.A.
