WINNING OF ALLIED VICTORY (Rec. 9.40 a.m.) Rugby, Nov. 26. The dominant role of British and American seapower in winning the victory was the theme of Mr A. V. Alexander, First Lord of the Admiralty, when speaking at the American Society in London in Thanksgiving Day celebrations. “It is the united power of the sea forces of the United Nations which will destroy Hitler and free Europe, just as the sea power of Britain played a major role in the destruction of Napoleon and the freeing of Europe.”—B.O.W.
