TO SAVE PETROL

BICYCLES TO BE USED ON AIRFIELDS (Rec. 10.20 a.m.) Rugby, Oct. 23. The R.A.F. decided to save petrol by using bicycles instead of motor cars at airfields, and orders for 170.000 standard machines will be completed next month by six leading bicycle manufacturers. The pilots, among others, will use bicycles to get to and from their aircraft.—8.0. W.
