MORE PETROL RESTRICTIONS
NECESSARY MEASURE IN BRITAIN | (Rec. 9.45 a.m.) Rugby, Oct. 22. The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Fuel and Power announced in the House of Commons that the increasing needs of the armed forces had made necessary a further general reduction in petrol allowances for business and professional purposes. The reduction would be for December. January and February. He added that the fighting services made and were continuing to make drastic economies in all petrol consumption other than that necessary for operations and essential training.—B.O.W.
