MODE OF TRAVEL IN GIBRALTAR SECRECY DURING RECENT VISIT (Rec. 10.55 a.m.> Gibraltar, Oct. 22. A black maria took Mr Churchill from an aerodrome to Government. House during his recent visit to Gibraltar. Dr. Buxton said the black maria was used to prevent His presence being quickly known. Mr Churchill was somewhat surprised when the moment he left the plane a black maria drove up and he was asked to step inside. He demurred until the need for maintaining secrecy was exp’.-imcd. P.A.
