GROWING A CARROT INDOORS
This is how you grow a carrot inside. Cut off the bottom part which has been in the ground and hollow the rest out. Round the top where you cut it. tie a piece of string and hang the carrot up inside. Every day you must put v ater in it. as if you don't it will go dry and it won't grow. The greens will it time shoot up around the side. I took one to school to show our teacher and the other children. —Florence Trower, Gowan Bridge.
