I The following official report was ssl sued at the conclusion of the secret l session of the House of Representatives - at 1.30 this morning, l "The Prime Minister reviewed the r negotiations which led to the clarifica- ; tion and final settlement of the question of the Pacific Command. Steps taken for the defence of the Dominion and areas of special importance to New Zealand were indicated, and details given of necessary arms and equipment received or arranged for. He also outlined the steps taken loi straightening out difficulties that had arisen in connectioft with the Home Guard and E.P.S. organisation and for settling their respective roles. Particulars el the progressive equipment of the Home ■ Guard were given, and a survey of the international situation completed the ; address. Nine other speakers look i part in the debate.”—P.A.
