PRISON FOR BARON
Nairobi. Feb. 15. Lord Carbery, aged 50. was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment with hard labour lor selling American aircraft' shares valued at £30.000, without the Governor's permission. Lord Carbery has been a farmer in Kenya for over 20 years—P.A. John Evans-Freke, tenth Baron Carbery. was once a midshipman in the R.N.V.R.. and served in the Great War in the Royal Naval Air Service as a temporary sub-lieutenant. He succeeded to the title in 1892 at *he age of six. lie took the name ot John Evans Carbery by deed-poll in Nairobi in 1920, and became a naitir.ilisufi \:;.erican.
