A DRAWN MATCH The match played on the Nelson College ground between College First XI and Athletic-Y.M.C.A. resulted in a draw. College batted first for 159 runs, a number of batsmen reaching double figures. When Athletic-Y.M.C.A. opened their innings at 4 o’clock A. Halley, who had also bowled well, gave the side a good start, scoring 42 before he was caught off Challies. M. Guy made 59, but the team could not reach College’s total before time, and nine wickets were down for 152 when stumps were drawn. Details:— College (first innings):—A. W.
