NELSON EDUCATION BOARD j Those present at the monthly meetI ir.g of the Nelson Education Board held ; 10-day were the Hon. W. H. Mclntyre j (chairman), and Messrs J. H. Hark- ; ness, F. A. Hamilton. F. A Carling, H. Barltrop. Alf. Robinson, J. G. Wilkens ! and F. H. Newman. I The Education Department wrote ! authorising the preparation of working plans and specifications for a new iesidence at Foxhill. A grant to cover the cost of provid- ! ing additional outoffice accommodation ! a*. Richmond school was granted by the | Lducation Board. A tender for £45 for the purchase j for removal of the old residence at ! Spring Grove, submitted by Mr A. i Stratford, is to be recommendedd to | the Education Department for acceptj ance. It was decided that the opening of j the consolidated school at Tapawera be ret down for the last day of the present term. j It was decided that as a temporary j measure the sheltershed at Onekaka j be altered to provide additional class--1 room accommodation.
