NELSON OFFICERS

APPOINTMENTS WITH N.Z.E.F. REINFORCEMENTS The following former officers of The Nelson. Marlborough and West Coast Regiment have befn appointed to commissions with the infantry reinforcements of the N.Z.E.F., with the ranks shown:— Lieutenant K. W. T. Holcroft. 2nd Lieutenant B. W J. Brown. 2nd Lieutenant W. A. C. Smith. Captain R. Catley has been appointed to the Bth Brigade group. Stanley Newman. from the Cadet Training unit, has been appointed 2nd Lieutenant in the Infantry (Reconnaissance) reinforcements. Major R. J. Eyre. N.Z. Staff Corps, has also been appointed to the Bth Brigade group. N.Z. MILITARY FORCES In the New Zealand Military Forces 2nd Lieutenant (temp.) H. P. Brookes, from the National Military Service, is transferred to the Ist Battalion. The Ne.son, Marlborough and West Coast Regiment. Among changes made in the designation of Territorial Force units is that of The Nelson-Marlborough Mounted Rifles, the name of which unit is now The 10th Light Armoured Fighting Vehicle Regiment (Nelson-Marlborough Mounted Rifles).
