CHARGE OF ASSAULT DISMISSED
Wellington, This Day. “There is no doubt that Wood was going round looking for trouble,” said Mr Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington, yesterday, when dismissing a charge of assault against William Dowie Venn and Robert Clive Venn. The magistrate went on to say that Wood had hit the father of the two men, and though it was not immediately after the incident they went to him to seek an explanation. Mr R. R. Scott represented both defendants.—P.A.
