According to the Tokio radio General Tojo, Prime Minister in a speech in Parliament to-day indicated that he had launched a strong peace move designed to detach China from the United nations. General Tojo deplored British-American influence in China. He indicated that all past faults were forgotten and said that Chungking would be received with open arms if only it rectified its mistakes and ideas. The Foreign Minister, Mr Togo, told Parliament to-day that at the very outset of the Pacific war Japan had received assurances from Russia that it would observe the neutrality pact to the letter.—U.P.A.
