As he was leaving two floor i walkers accosted him, saying he was required at the office. He violently resisted and one of the assistants received a very severe handling." This story was told by Detective-Sergeant McClung in the Magistrate’s Court this morning when he was prosecuting .Joseph John Polaschek, aged 43 years, labourer. Polaschek pleaded guilty to three charges of shoplifting. The Magistrate. Mr Levvey, sentenced accused to three months’ imprisonment with hard labour.—-P.A.
