Robinson) presided. j whole-hearted co-operation of the various women's organisation. Mrs W. K. T. Gustave!. Mrs A. Clements and Mrs V. Annear attended last night’s meeting and they, together with Mrs •S. J. Wilson, were added to the Celcbrations’ Committee. Tu morrow there will be two classes °f badges on sale: members’ badges, for | which the minimum price will be Os, ‘entitling the purchaser to membership of the Association until December, 1942. in addition to the badge, unless he or she is already a member; ordinary baoges, for which the minimum price v. ill be Is. The badges are of an attractive design. The funds from their sale will go mainly towards meeting the cost of Children’s Day on 2nd February and the other centennial functions. Besides buying badges it is expected that some citizens, in view of i significance of the occasion which the badges commemorate, will hand substantial donations to the collectors. It was also decided last night to extend the date for the closing of the j Centennial Essay competition to 15th i PROPOSAL FOR MASSED CHOIR The possibility of organising a ; massed choir to render appropriate; | music at the service at the Church j I Steps on the afternoon of Sunday. IstFebruary, was left to a sub-committee ito investigate and repor on. It was reported that the gala comjmittee, under the leadership of Mrs C. j Milner, was undertaking the prepar |Mi on and bagging of the children’s! : lunches for Children’s Day. Thej Happiness Club is also co-operating in 'providing lunches for adults at the j Botanical Reserve on that day. Mr H. J. Thorn ton said that it was probable that a special train would be j arranged to convey the children from I Bel grove downwards to the celebra- ! tions. During Centennial Week it is pro- 1 posed to have a display of historical pictures, books, articles and documents if a suitable building can be obtained.
