Middle East communique states: "R.A.F. heavy bombers on the night of 26th-27th October effectively raided Benghazi harbour, bombs bursting on the Cathedral Mole and objectives in the town. Yesterday the harbour was again attacked by the S A.A.F. Bombs fell near railway sidings at Governorate, while others straddled workshops and railway installations Fires broke out in the workshops. Military buildings were also hit. “Anti-aircraft and coastal defence guns at Bardia were attacked by naval aircraft on the night of 25th-26th October, while during the following night aircraft bombed n store and dumps near the Gambit landing ground.
