Inquiries ] made among land r .ents show that the ] housing shortage is as acute as at any time in recent years. One agent has a waling list of 40. In many cases families are making do with limited accommodation, one family living in | two rooms. i There is stated to be quite a good , inquiry for houses to purchase but the ] difficulty is to supply the typ_ of house i wanted. One house agent said that .many of the houses offering are from £ 1500 up. and the demand is for [ houses round about the £ 1080 mark. , Among those in this plight of wanting houses are some of the married [ men at the Air Force
