Tranquil Star, True Flight. Saul. Chatoona. Keelie, Yours Truly. Velocity, Triggerman. Laureate, It’s Funny. Cavallo, Yodvara, Status Quo. Frill King. Skipton, Vermont. Galliard. Palencia, Son of Aurous. Shanghai Cantala Stakes: High Caste, Rimveil, Historian. Amiable. Crojick, Evergreen. Burrabil, Industry, Warbird, Damalis. ; Panka. Prince Ronald, Plana. On Account Hydra. Strategy. Saul had a slight bleeding attack after galloping at Mentone to-day. but wa» not outwardly distressed. He galloped twelve furlongs, 25 feet out, with ; Velocity in 2.44. Maikai joined in the last ten furlongs and twenty yards, ' which was run in 2.14£. Saul beat Maikai by three lengths and Velocity was half a length away, but the latter ! pair were not ridden out. O. Phillips, who won the Melbourne Cup on Wotan, is engaged to ride i Yours Truly. BEAU VITE BRILLIANT Conditions were ideal for galloping at Caulfield On the course proper, next the rails, j Beau Vite covered seven furlongs in 1 20. finishing brilliantly He did the i last three furlongs in 371. He has . never looked better Skiptcn, who was off colour for a few days, moved freely with El Golea over a mile in 1 501 Gay Revelry did ten in 2.13. the last mile with Pireni in 1.45. Remarc galloped eleven in 2.40 J, the last mile with j Rimveil in 1 45. He WUnt well. High Caste did an excellent five in 1.2, and The Trapper ten furlongs in 2.121 the last two furlongs in 25 —a : good effort Silver Mask, though failing in races continues to gallop bril- i liantiy, and covered four in 491. Status Quo beat Triggerman and Shanghai over nine in 1.591. Status Quo is a likely runner in the Melbourne Cup Chatham's Choice beat Hectare over eleven in 2.301 At Flemington. on the course proper. 33 feet out. it's Funny improved his Derby prospects by beating Foxhow by two lengths, with Galliard four lengths back, over ten furlongs in 2 14. The run was finished strongly against the wind. Home James did half a mile in 49iJ. which suggests that he has an excellent chance in the Maribynone Plate Hesione. also engaged in that race, beat Silver Crown over four in 512. Evengreen did seven in 1.331. Prince Ronald, using the fast inside grass, pleased over a mile in 143 b Omapo. looking well after Saturday's win did seven in 1.40 but was not ex (ended l! P.A.
