War Relief Fund of New York for the n 1 provision of Christmas hampers for members of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. on active service. This particular gift is made up of contributions from the New York, Chicago and Pacific Coast Divisions of the Anzac War Relief Fund. The local representative of the Fund, Mr H. P. Griffin, stated that as a result I of this donation some six hundred par- ' cels were being dispatched to the Middle East and that these would contain handkerchiefs, safety razor blades, writ. " i ing paper and envelopes, shaving soun. dentifrice, condensed milk. canned ' pears, oysters, aspirin and chewing gum. '• : The citizens of the United Slates, who l ] have contributed to the funds have 1 already given generous help to the 2nd N.Z.E.F. in providing 25 ambulances, 1 one mobile dental unit and costly medical equipment, two and a quarter mil- ; lion cigarettes. 11 cases of books and " magazines, mobile canteens and £1.50(1 s to furnish the N.Z.E.F. Club in Cairo.
