SOVIET CHANGES IN COMMAND

TIMOSHENKO ON SOUTHERN FRONT London, Oct. 24. The British United Press correspondent at Kuibyshev says that the Soviet spokesman, M. Lozovsky, announced that Marshal Timoshenko has taken over the command of the southern front and General Khukov, the Soviet Chief of Staff, now commands the Moscow front. M. Stalin is still in Moscow conducting the operations for the defence of the city. Marshals Budenny and Voroshilov are completing the preparation of new armies.—U.P.A.
