HOME GUARD
STAFF OFFICER TO VISIT NELSON Captain C. J. Blomfield, M.C., has been appointed staff officer to the District Director of the Home Guard at, Christchurch. He will make his first visit to Nelson during the coming weekend when he will address officers and; N C.O.'s of the Waimea Battalion in the j Marsden Library on Saturday at 8 p.m. j Captain Blomfield served with the Aus- \ tralian forces in the last war and went! overseas with the Second Echelon in I this war. He has undergone a very j thorough course of training and return- j ed to this country only a few months ago.
