Department of Information suspects! that the announcement on Sunday! was a publicity stunt. The German announcer said then: j “We wish to announce that ‘Lord Haw i Haw’ has been banned from tlie air. , He is not speaking to-day either. In view of the world % popularity of "Lord j Haw Haw,’ we have agreed to allow ! his to state his case in his own words.” j He added that “Lord Haw Haw” would i make his statement from Berlin at ; 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
