HUNS DELIGHTED?

PAMPHLETS SOLD FOR RED CROSS DROPPED IN SURREY LAST JULY A correspondent in Nelson has forwarded to “The Mail” a copy of one of the pumphlets which were dropped by the Germans in Surrey about the end of July. The pamphlet states that the Battle of the Atlantic is being lost and enumerates four reasons why this is so. It ends by saying that Britain’s losing the Battle of the Atlantic means that Britain is losing the war. The correspondent adds that these pamphlets were all sold for the benefit of the Red Cross. “Must not the Huns have been delighted when they heard of the use that they had been put to?” concludes the correspondent.
