SHARP RISE IN PRICES AT BLENHEIM A sharp rise in prices was a feature of this week’s Blenheim stock sale, i the greatest increase concerning shorn ewes, which were up fully 5s a head ; (reports the "Express"). Fat wethers were firmer by from 2s fid to 3s. The yarding comprised 650 fats, 260 of which were wethers. The quality was ■ good average. The improvement is j largely explained by the fact that a fortnight will elapse before the next I sale. ; Shorn wethers made from 18s fid to 124 Id, and wethers in wool from 22s [ 10d to 33s 4d. Shorn ewes fetched 13s |ld to 21s 7d and ewes in the wool lGs Id to 2fis 7d. In the store pens five lots of ewes with lambs made from 12s fid to 14s 4d all counted.
