ANOTHER DISASTER
ITALIAN CONVOY IN MEDITERRANEAN SUBJECTED TO SEVEN HOI R ATTACK (Rcc. 12.10 pm.) Rugby, Oft. 12 On Friday night and early on Saturday morning: disaster befel another enemy convoy which attempted a passage of the central Medisays the Air Ministry ed of four medium to large merchant vessels, including a tanker, escorted by five destroyers and air craft. The gruelling attack to which it was subjected lasted intermittently for seven hours. The convoy was first attacked by Naval aircraft. The destroyers, according to the description of our pilots, were “milling around in all directions'' and within twenty minutes three vessels were hit bv torpedoes.—B.O.W.
