BUCK-OUT SATISFACTORY IN NELSON
ARRANGEMENTS NECESSARY FOR EMERGENCY Generally speaking, the black-out in Nelson is being quite well observed, said Mr E. B McKenzie. Nelson Lighting Controller, to-day. He emphasised that some people were neglecting their fanlights, which must be covered to prevent any glow being visible. Mr McKenzie explained that in the event of an emergency at night a total j black-out will be required, and all winj dows, even those not facing the sea, l must be completely obscured. Ar- ! rangements should be made in houses 1 and offices to have facilities for blackj mg out rooms which are needed and ! which are not blacked out at present. : Anyone in doubt should communicate j with the Lighting Controller.
