BANK OI NEW ZEALAND SAVED FROM DESTRUCTION STORY TOLD BY FORMER MANAGER Wellington, This Day. How the Bank of New Zealand in London was saved from destruction by ; fire following the air blitz was described by Mr David F. Reid, who recently retired from the position of returned to New Zealand. Mr Reid said a large, tank of water had been installed "i the roof and hoses put to j every floor.
