ACCIDENT AT UPPER TAKAKA

MAN IN SERIOUS CONDITION Mr H. Quinton, aged 53 years, of Upper Takaka, was admitted to Nelson Hospital to-day suffering severe head injuries and lacerations and possibly a fractured skull, as the result of an accident. His condition was reported by the hospital to be serious. The injured man was working on the road in the Cobb Valley. Another workman found him in an injured condition walking towards his hut. No one witnessed the accident, and so far it has not been possible to ascertain from Mr Quinton how he received his injuries.
