GRATITU I)E EXPRESSED The follow ing letter has been received in Nelson from the Dr BarnardoY Homes: — “Dear Friends.- We arc enclosing out official receipt for the wonderful gilt you have sent us. We can hardly tell you how grateful wc are for this gen - erous gift of clothing, as owing to the high cost of so many of our necessities, and present day difficulties in obtaining deliveries, we are the more in need ol clothing and other articles especially a; our clothing store has suffered from “This gift will greatly help us in supplying the needs of our very large family, which is daily increasing. This practical help displays a great interest in our work for the children, and we can assure you we value the staunch support rendered in this manner. With renewed thanks, yours very truly, P. T. Kirkpatrick, General SuperintenThese clothes were packed by tlv Nelson Women's Club and were sent in by town and country supporters of the Barnardo Homes.
