NELSON BOARD MEETS APPLICATIONS DEALT WITH At a meeting of the Nelson Land Board (there were present: Messrs P. R. Wilkin- | son, Commissioner of Crown Lands (chairj man), J. O’Regan. J. Creighton and A. ! Rowling. Leave of absence was granted I to Mr G. L. Mead. J The Commissioner brought before the 1 Board for discussion the position regardj ing timber cutting permits over small areas of native bush on Crown lands. It was resolved to follow as far as ! possible the practice adopted by the State Forest Service and to limit timber cutting J permits (except milling timber) to terms of 3 months (permit fee 2s 6d, minimum | deposit £5). APPLICATIONS FOR LAND • Part section 8. block 111. Burnett Suv- ! vey District. Area 1 rood. It was resolved to grant a year to year i license over an area of 1 rood of Section !8. Block 111. Burnett Survey District as j from 12th June, 1941 at a rental of 10s per annum. Section 8. Block IV, Howard Survey District. Area 21 acres 2 roods. Applicant, A. H. Jordan. It was resolved to grant Mr A. H. Jordan a vear to year iicense over Section 8. Block IV, Howard Survey District as from 12th June, 1941, at a rental of £1 10s per annum. Section 12, Block VII, Kawatiri Survey District. Area 22 acres. Applicant, Thos. Murphy. It was decided to grant Mr T.
