! SERGEANT KIRKE OF WELLINGTON Wellington, This Day. . Advice has been received at Air Headquarters, Wellington, that Sergeant Frank Skipworth Kirke has been awarded the D.F.M. Kirke was born at Wellington in 1917, and educated at Marlborough College. Blenheim. His next-of-kin is his mother, Mrs A. B. Kirke, Owen street. Wellington, j The official citation says that Sergt. I Kirke completed many operations against the enfc: y as an air observer, and that his navigation had been of the very highest order. He had always shown the greatest keenness for his work, and he displayed outstanding : ability, determination and devotion to ! duty throughout.—P.A.
