MEDICAL MISSION IN THE SOLOMONS
ADDRESS BY DR. ALLEN RUTTER | The work of the Methodist Medical i : Mission in the Solomon Islands, the reI establishment of which was largely due' , to the benefactions of Mr Samuel Gor- . man of Nelson, was interestingly de | scribed by Dr. Allen G. Rutter, who is on furlough. There was a good attendj ance at the Methodist Hall last night to hear the lecture, and. a collection brought a good response on behalf of the mission. Dr. Rutter paid a tribute to the nurses in the island and quoted the wonderful transformation brought y about in the island of Choseul through r I the work of one nursing sister. The ‘• establishment of a small leper colony ‘ j and the new hope it brought to the sufferers from this disease, giving them companionship, work and an interest in j life, was another aspect of the work.
