BOWLING

GAMES AT INDOOR GREEN There was a reduced number of players in the weekly bowling tournament at the Indoor Green last evening, and some of the teams played with three men. Ten teams competed and at the end of the third game two teams (Burns. Krammer, W.vber, Logan (s), and Silke, Holmes, Blincoe (s) ) had won all games and contested the final. The first end was rather poor, most of the bowls being wide of the jack. Blincoe had the advantage until Logan drew a good shot and gained one up on the end. The final session was set going in fine style by Burns, who sent down a toucher, which finished up just behind the jack and Silke placed one a little closer. There was no change, however, until the skip 3 took over, when Logan placed the issue beyond doubt by drawing accurately for two shots to win the match by three. Logan played good bowls and fully merited the applause given for good drawing shots. Skips are agaio reminded that they would assist in getting a prompt start if they took steps to ensure that their teams are present or accounted for at least five minutes before the starting time. Individual players who find, at a late hour, that they will be unablr to play, would help if they telephoned the green.
