Whitney, of Auckland, a number of f sittings of eggs were supplied to this t society for hatching purposes, and alls though a number of eggs failed to hatch it is pleasing to note that of the ducklings hatched out fully 95 per cent, of the birds have aen reared, a number of which have been liberated in selected localities where they can be protcted and fed.
