MY GARDEN IN AUTUMN

j My garden was very pretty a few weeks ago, but the rain spoilt it. It j was full of lovely asters. We also had j quite a few bigger beds and some trees. Our lantern tree is blooming again and Iso are the roses. There are a lot of | daisies out. We are lucky to have our pretty gardens, for in England people Iliad to dig up their flower gardens and | plant them in vegetables. The chestnuts are pretty now and we have a | whole tree full of apples.— Barbara Kerr, East Takaka.
