RESULTS OF PRINCE AUTUMN’S COMPETITIONS
LADY AUTUMN, HERSELF, 1 SPEAKS I was pleased to get so many entries j ] in my nephew. Prince Dahlia Autumn’s ! competitions, and I think you have all done very well. It was a shame that ( more senior members did not send in their entries, but the juniors made up . for that by sending in such a lot of I beautifully coloured paintings. I am 'so sorry you can’t all be winners but ; perhaps I can say that it took such a long time to judge everything that we (that is Prince Autumn and I> nearly had to make you all first equal. I and all my subjects haven’t really started our work in Nelson yet. although the first snow fell on Mount Arthur the other day, and the willows! are beginning to turn colour. But. , when you see the poplars turning a beautiful gold (we had to order some , new paint this year, and it is really wonderful) you will know that we |have actually begun our enormous job 'of painting. 1 I suppose you arc waiting to read the ( names of the winners of the competi.jtions, so here they are.
