A Cairo headquarters communique states: “In Libya information has been received that General Tellera, commanding the Tenth Italian Army, died after capture from wounds received in action south of Benghazi. “In Eritrea, Abyssinia and Italian Somaliland operations in all sectors continue to develop satisfactorily.” BURIED WITH FULL MILITARY HONOURS (British Official Wireless) (Received 12th February, 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY, 11th February. The Italian General Tallera, who commanded the Italian army in the fierce 36 hours’ battle preceding the capture of Benghazi and died of wounds, was buried with full military honours at Benghazi.
