NAVAL FORCES (FOR DURATION OF WAR ONLY) Stokers, Signalmen, Telegraphists, and Cooks are required immediately (SINGLE MEN ONLY) for training in New Zealand, after which those not required in the N.Z. Naval Forces will be drafted overseas to the Royal Navy. All men who have previously made application for service under any Scheme at all, should apply again if desirous of being considered for this recruitment. Age limits on date of application for Seamen, Signalmen and Telegraphists 17$ to 25 years, and for Stokers and Cooks 18 to 30 years. All applicants required to pass elementary educational test Advancement in all positions according to qualifications and duration of hostilities. Other conditions:— SEAMEN: Will be entered as Ordinary Seamen and eligible for advancement to Able Seamen, Leading Seamen, and so on

SIGNALMEN: Will be entered as Ordinary Signalmen and eligible for advancement to Signalmen. Leading Signalmen, and so on. Some knowledge of signalling an advantage. TELEGRAPHISTS: Will be entered as Ordinary Telegraphists and eligible for advancement to Telegraphists. Leading Telegraphists and so on. Some knowledge of wireless telegraphy an advantage. STOKERS: Will be entered as Stoker second-class and eligible for advancement to Stoker first-class, Leading Stoker, and so on. COOKS: Will be entered as Assistant Cooks and eligible for advancement to Cooks, Leading Cook and so on. Preliminary knowledge of cooking and baking an advantage.
