ROOSEVELT'S MESSAGE TO ITALY
RIGHTEOUS SPEECH HOPED FOR WASHINGTON, 31st December. President Roosevelt sent a message to Italy’s King Victor Emmanuel on the advent of 1941, in which he said he hoped that during the year “the Italians will be enabled to enjoy the blessings of a righteous peace.” If was in reply to King Victor Emmanuel’s “cordial good wishes to the people of the United States and to you personally.”
