MATCH AGAINST MANAWATU
VISITORS’ IMPROVED SHOWING CENTURY TO McVICAR A second wicket partnership of 118 and a century by Me Vicar put a different complexious on the game when the Manawatu cricket team continued their second innings against Nelson this morning. The visitors were 103 behind on the first innings. Billing went early this morning, and McVicar and Collis in a good partnership added 118 to the total. Collis was caught out when 51. Newman dropped a catch from McVicar when 40. The Manawatu batsman reached his century by 12.15 o'clock, and soon afterwards was missed again in the slips.
