NEW YEAR’S DAY FUNCTIONS The Motueka Patriotic Controlling Committee and the Safe Bathing Society have finalised arrangements for the gala at the Motueka Beach on New Year’s Day. The Motueka Caledonian Society, although not staging the usual gathering on New Year’s Day expects to carry out the usual New Year’s Eve proceedihgs—piping out the old year and piping in the new, with the assistance of visiting pipers.
