JUNIOR CRICKET INNINGS WIN FOR WHAKAREWA At Brooklyn on Saturday Whakarewa defeated the home team in the junior competition by an innings and 39 runs. Brooklyn, who were unable to field a full team, were dismissed for 20 runs in the first innings. M. Inwood took five wickets for 6 runs, and L. Bisley, three for 12. Whakarewa’s knock resulted in a score of 112, the double figure batsmen being L. Bisley 26, J. Hawken 20, M. McLean 13, H. Inwood 12, W. Hawken l 1 and Sinclair 10. Those responsible for the wickets wer * J. Young two for 18. E. Fry three for 37, W. Louis two for 18, M. Nesbitt one for 6, R. Drummond one for 11, and T. Leigh one for 4. In their second innings Brooklyn scored 53 (W. Louis not out 22, and C. Atkins 11). The bowlers were M. Inwood two for 21, L. Bisley tw6 for 20. H. Inwood two for 6, and W. Hawken two for 0.
