ATHLETIC DEFEAT OLD BOYS ; At Trafalgar Park on Saturday Athletic defeated Old Boys by an innings and 67 runs in a junior grade cricket match thus gaining a six point win. : Old Boys won the toss and elected *o I bat. but, severely handicapped by having only seven men, were dismissed for I 38 l uns, O'Niell making 24. Bowling for I Athletic Spencer took four wickets for • 19 runs and Lumber two for 19. I Athletic replied with a score of 186 ’ runs for seven wickets declared, the 1 main scorers being Edwards 22. Wilson 1 10. Simpson 39. Mcßride 48. and Hockey i 36 not out. i Old Boys fared slightly better in 1 their second innings making 81 runs. 1 (McGuire 51 and O Niell 14). Bowling «! for Athletic Spencer Spencer took r two wickets for 43 runs, Mcßride none 1 for 8. Lumber two for 23, Simpson two 1 for none. (
