RICHMOND W.I. NOVEMBER MEETING The November meeting of \he Richmond Women’s Institute was held at • member's residence and was very well attended. Mrs F. Wilkes, who presided. was pleased to welcome several members who had not been present for some time. The meeting commenced with the repetition of the Aspiration and the W.I. creed. The motto was “Owe no man anything, love one another.’ An excellent report on the October council meeting was given by the delegate who represented Richmond. Christmas cards for Federation funds were readily sold. Arrangements were made for the Christmas W.I. party for members and children to be held in the Richmond Town Hall on 17th December. Members were very interested in a demonstration by Mrs Maddox of a belt made from old felt hats. Mesdames Dickinson and Straw- - ridge provided excellent musical entertainment for the afternoon. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Mesdames Brooks. McEwan and Bolitho. Competition results were: Article from scraps of materials, Mrs Heaven; article from skein of wool. Mrs Fittall; three best blooms. Mrs Tanner. The meeting ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
