MOBILE OFFICE FOR THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY
Progress in hoisting all ranks of the Army in the field on to wheels has reamed the advanced stage at which clerical staffs of units are to be provided with mobile offices. A motor van fitted and furnished for this work, the first of several of the kind to be constructed, has been inspected by senior officers at Army headquarters. Toe van, when packed for movement contains three office ables, 12 chairs cupboards, filing cabinets and two tents.’ The staff travels in another vehicle. When the load is unpacked for use. the tents are opened up on either side of the van, and each is furnished with a table and chairs In the van itself there are also seats for four at a table and typewriting bench.
