NAVAL BATTLE IN CHANNEL
NAZI VERSION I U.P.A.-By Electric relesraph-Copyrighi | (Received 30th November, 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, 29th November. A German communique claims that in a naval battle in the western exit to the English Channel close to the English coast German destroyers torpedoed two British destroyers and other German destroyers sank two steamers and two smaller auxiliaries off the south coast. The German ships were undamaged. The German communique says: “Several British planes dropped bombs in northern and western Germany. Some houses were damaged and a reserve military hospital struck.^
