FLAG 500 AND DANCE

HELD BY NELSON POULTRY ASSOCIATION Members and friends of the Nelson Poultry, Pigeon. Canaary and Cage Birds’ Association spent a very pleasant and enjoyable evening at the Mia Mia Tearooms, when about 70 people gathered to play the popular game of Flag 500. The prizes, which were generously donated by three members of the association, were presented by Mr Geo. Millar, a life member, who thanked the donors and those present for their attendance, and expressed the hope that they would be again present ill a fortnight’s time. The winners for the evening were Mr and Mrs Davies, Mr McDonald and Mr G. H. Hollyman. The consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs Fowler. Mr Russo, Mrs Gregory and Mr Winstanley, and a surprise packet to Mrs Fowler. After a dainty supper had been served the players adjourned to Miss Mellett’s Dancing Studio, where dancing was carried on until midnight. The winners of the Monte Carlo were Mrs Kiddey and partner. The duties of M.C. were performed by Mr Alf. Hollyman.
