“FERRYING” PLANES ACROSS THE ATLANTIC
ACCURATE INFORMATION TO GERMANS I U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] (Received 18th November, 12.45 p.m.) NEW YORK, 17th November. An American pilot who is engaged in “ferrying” planes to Britain, stated that whenever a fleet of United States or j Canadian warplanes is flown across the Atlantic it is met with uncanny accuracy and timing by German squadrons as it nears Ireland. The German’s ability to intercept planes can be directly traced to a highly organised Fifth Column, because transatlantic flights are arranged with the greatest secrecy.
