A Berlin radio announcer after reading the bare communique of the HitlerFranco talks, gleefully exclaimed that all Britain’s machinations were routed again and proved that the initiative lies with the Axis. Each step by the Fvihrer, which means also each step by Mussolini, was anot v er towards the end v.f Britain. Senor Suner’s conversations with Italy and Germany should have shown Britain what Spain’s attitude would be.
